In 1948, the Danish paper artist Edel Erstad began designing and producing paper clips and mobile phones. Later, her husband,the visual artist C.V.Stubbe-Teglbjærg, also joined the company. Since then, the company has produced a large number of designs with a romantic expression and starting point in Danish traditions.
Today, EST´'s products are produced as they were then - by local Danish domestic workers who love paper.
